Why 200 KB?

Exam, job and scholarship portals often cap uploads at 200 KB so that thousands of applications fit on their servers. A scanned certificate or mark sheet is usually several times larger.

How it works

  1. 1

Choose a PDF. Your browser reads it on this device.

  2. 2

Pick a compression level, or type the size the file must fit under.

  3. 3

Compress, then save. You see the new size before you download.

Good to know

  • Most of the saving comes from photos and scanned pages. Text and fonts stay as they are.
  • If the size you ask for cannot be reached, you get the closest result and the reason.

Why it's private

  • Processed in your browser

The tool runs on your device. There is no upload step and no server that receives your files.

  • Works offline

Wait for Offline ready before disconnecting. OCR and Office conversion also need their engines saved on this device.

  • No ads or trackers

Tool pages load no ads, no analytics scripts and no third-party code.

Questions

Is 200 KB enough for a scanned certificate?

Usually, yes. A one-page scan at normal reading quality fits comfortably. Several scanned pages may need a lower quality, and we tell you if they cannot fit.

How do you get a PDF under 200 KB?

We make photos and scanned pages smaller step by step, checking the size each time, and keep the best quality that fits. Text and fonts are not changed.

What if it cannot reach 200 KB?

You get the smallest file we could make and the reason, for example that the text and fonts alone take more space. You can allow pages to be turned into images to go further, at the cost of selectable text.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The compression runs in your browser on this device, and keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
