Good to know

  • Pages that are no longer in the file, for example after a download stopped halfway, cannot be brought back.
  • A file with nothing wrong is returned exactly as it was.
  • The repaired copy of a password-protected PDF opens without the password.

Why it's private

  • Processed in your browser

The tool runs on your device. There is no upload step and no server that receives your files.

  • Works offline

Wait for Offline ready before disconnecting. OCR and Office conversion also need their engines saved on this device.

  • No ads or trackers

Tool pages load no ads, no analytics scripts and no third-party code.

Questions

Why won't my PDF open?

Usually because a download or email attachment stopped part-way, a disk or memory card had an error, or an app saved the file badly. The index that tells a PDF reader where everything is then goes missing or points to the wrong places, and the reader gives up.

Can every damaged PDF be repaired?

No. Repair recovers what is still in the file. If a download stopped halfway, only the pages in the first half exist, and the rest has to be downloaded again. The result says how many pages were recovered.

Does repairing change my pages?

Pages that survived are kept as they are. Where a page was cut short, the part that remains is kept and the result names that page, so you can check it.

My damaged PDF has a password. Can it be repaired?

Yes, if the password can be asked for: type it on the file card. The repaired copy opens without it; use Protect PDF to add one again.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your browser does the work on this device, and the tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded. Nothing is sent to a server.
